Old Oaks

The Old Oaks Trio encompasses the chill-yet-funky acoustic music of singer-songwriter Frank Laufenberg. Their latest album The Day Before Yesterday, which has over 60,000 streams on Spotify, is a reflection on the past, meant to be understood like a memory that's on the tip of your tongue. Their folk-funk originals are paired with covers from artists spanning from Neil Young to Jimi Hendrix to Vulfpeck. Frank's vocals and 12-string guitar interludes are complemented by harmonious saxophone solos and alto flute riffs by Daniel Haschke. Frank and Daniel also play with Madison’s award-winning funk-fusion band Wurk.
