Yonder

Minneapolis, MN
Saturday

Peter's Biergarten
For Fans Of... Wednesday, Big Thief, The Byrds

Though none of the members can see without visual support, Yonder is seeing themselves as an emerging new wave Americana band based in Minneapolis, MN. Each member stems from a background in various local groups with intertwining histories: front women Hattie Peach (violinist, vocalist) and Emma Jeanne (rhythm guitar, vocalist) began experimenting as co-writers years ago as college roommates in Duluth, MN. Peach brings the folk flair to the band with a knack for lyrical storytelling that comes from a lifelong dedication to blood harmonies with her family group, The Penny Peaches. Emma Jeanne adds distorted punk rock guitar and searing lyrics fused with her witty songwriting. Sidestepping from his typical role as frontman and bassist of Lapdogs, Oliver Gerber returns to his true love, lead guitar. Hailing from Rochester, Dylan Hilliker holds down the ones and twos on drums in Greentop, Horse Tornado, and now Yonder. The latest addition, Calvin Carrison, of infamous jester-core group Big Delicious brings the bass. It feels as though they’ve stumbled upon something, even if it was for lack of eye sight. Not all who yonder are lost.
