NNAMDÏ

Chicago, IL
Alt-Pop
For Fans Of... Dijon, Blood Orange, Thundercat

Chicago's NNAMDÏ thrives in the porous boundaries of multi-genre pop experimentalism. Over the past decade, NNAMDÏ has received critical acclaim for projects that range from post-punk to hip-hop. He has been widely lauded for his singular sound and virtuosic skill set as a multi-instrumentalist producer and songwriter by major music outlets including VICE, the New York Times, New York Magazine, NPR, Pitchfork, FADER and many others. His chameleonic sound has led him to tour and perform with such diverse acts as Wilco, Sleater-Kinney, Black Midi, Jeff Rosenstock, and CupcakKe, and to appear at a myriad of national and international festivals. NNAMDÏ's most recent LP Please Have A Seat (Secretly Canadian / Sooper Records, 2022) drives the point home as both his most accessible yet genre-defying work to date. A live NNAMDÏ performance is a singularly unique and high octane mixture of rock, pop, hip-hop, electronic, and post-punk influences. NNAMDÏ was named a 2020 Chicagoan of the Year by the Chicago Tribune for his work as a label owner of Sooper Records, his prolific output, and his fundraising for racial justice organizations.
